Labels; Things people use to define one another. What's your label? Ugly? Pretty? Nerdy? Cool? Smart? Stupid? Leader? Follower? Athlete? Fat? Popular? Invisible?
The reality is that it doesn't matter what your earthly label is. It doesn't define you. It doesn't restrict you. God has given you a label. He calls you, "remarkably and wonderfully made" Psalm 139:14. He says, "the Lord will make you the head, not the tail" Deuteronomy 28:13. He says to you, "I have chosen you and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit" John 15:16. Because we are Christians, we don't have to live by the standards of this world "For this world is not our permanent home" Hebrews 13:14.
Sometimes it feels like we have to wait until we get approval from people before we can be truly effective for God, but this is not the case. In John 17:18 Jesus says, "As you (God the Father) sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world." You don't have to wait for the world to say you're good enough. You don't even have to wait for a church to send you out. God has already sent you out. God already has a mission and a plan for you. You just have to be ready and willing to go where he leads. Live by Gods labels, not the worlds.
